Meet Bert — Bert’s story began on the side of a busy street, where he and his brother Ernie were found after being surrendered by a homeless man who could no longer care for them. Despite the uncertainty in his young life, Bert’s spirit has always been full of love. When our team met the boys, they didn’t hesitate for a second — they ran right up to our car window with wagging tails and hopeful eyes, then happily jumped in as if they knew they were heading somewhere safe.

Bert is the perfect mix of protector and sweetheart. He’s naturally watchful and loyal, always keeping an eye on his people, but underneath that protective streak is the softest, most affectionate cuddle bug. Once he feels safe, he melts into you — leaning in for pets, soaking up belly rubs, and happily claiming his spot on the couch.

And speaking of couches… Bert is a certified couch potato 🛋️ He’s happiest lounging by your side, napping in a sunny spot, or curling up for movie night. His adorable face and gentle personality make it impossible not to fall in love.
